My end of term reflection

My favourite experiences from this term are Pet day, Volleyball and Tech

Pet day because I was able to take my brother's pet rat to school for Pet Day.

Volleyball because I got to do play volleyball this term and be apart of the tournament.

Tech because we are making stuff to sell at the garage sale.

I have learnt that if we want people to listen to us we need to be more firm.

Something I would change from this term is that on pet day we could bring them in when we go to school.

A goal for next term is to have fun enjoy my time at school and try and be more helpful.

What is it I hope I will come to understand more deeply through this inquiry?

I hope that I will understand how to conserve money to be a better person with money when I am older.

What knowledge might I need to help move towards this understanding?

I think that I would need to know how to use money wisely and not stupidly like some people when they just spend it on stuff they don’t even need.

What is it I hope to be able to do more competently?   What skills will I need to learn (skills)

I hope to learn to save money more efficiently than I am now so I will know how to be money wise later in life.

Creativity to be creative with my creation

Curiosity so I can research better without thinking that this will be dumb or stupid.

Somethings that I need to improve on are doing my manga high task's and not just not trying to do them.

Something that I achieved was my metal work project which was a toolbox.

I didn't really enjoy today because some one was being really mean to me and they kicked me.

Something I'm looking forward to is tomorrow because it is by birthday.

Mum Wears Dinosaur Outfit to School.

What would you do if you found your mum to pick you up from school in a dinosaur costume that would be pretty cool and one mum did just that. Leslie Eggenberger was just like any other mother but her choice of fashion. She wore it to pick her kids up from school and also show them that they need to be brave, bold and do what the do that makes them happy.

My Writing

I am writing a story at the moment and it is called Ten Ft Hash Brown here is some of my story so far.

My Weekend

On the weekend me and my family went to Auckland and we did something called the Escapade. The Escapade was we were locked in a room and we hat to try and figure out how to get out of the room. After that we went to get dinner at Denny's but we waited about half an hour and we didn't get served or asked what we wanted.

So we were looking for somewhere to have dinner and we finally found a MC Donald's that wasn't closed but was going to in a few minutes. (By the way they were closing at 11:00 pm) We stayed the night at my nannies house because she lives close to Auckland she lives in Glenbrook.

My weekend was very fun I played chess with my dad twice and I checkmated him twice.

What is your goal for camp?

My goal for camp is to have fun and try my best.

Why are you coming on camp?

I am coming on camp because I can, and I want to try some new things.

What skills, strengths, qualities, powers do you possess that will help you have a really successful camp experience?

One of my strengths is, I have done a high ropes course before.  The learning powers that I may use will be resilience and connecting.

What will you do if you have a problem at camp? Who will you speak to? What will help you solve your problem?

If I have a Problem I will talk to a teacher or a parent. To solve my problem I will explain to a teacher or a parent about the problem and see if they can help. Also make sure that I talk and listen well.

How will you be an effective team member in your car group, activity group and cabin group? What will we see or hear?

To be an effective team member I must make sure that I respect my group and listen to them and not argue. The group will see people talking and listening to one another.

My dads wedding

On the 4th om march my dad got married it was a really good day for a wedding.

We had alot of photo's taken and I had to do the music and I was lucky enough to get seven of those photos to share.

The wedding was good for dad now we can focus on other things.

My Best weekend ever

On my best weekend ever I would like to publish a book and make it into a movie and my friends would be a part of it to. I also would like to make a company that sells everything even crocodiles. That would be the greatest weekend ever in the history of weekends,

A driver for my learning.

The one driver for my learning that I think is the most important to my learning is getting enough sleep because if I don't get enough sleep I can wake up grumpy and get angry at people for no reason or I could get a headache.

Tuakana-tenia

For the Tuakana teina thing we did at school on the first week back we did a Tuakana teina thing and we had to choose what level we sat. I choose Tupu it sat in the middle of Tuakana and teina. What Tupu means for me is that I still have more growing for me to do in my learning. I need to grow more to get to the next stage in my learning and life.

And Tuakana teina also means the relationship between Tuakana and teina (Expert and Learner).

The treaty of Waitangi/ Waitangi day

Waitangi day why do we celebrate this historic moment in life every year? It is because the treaty of Waitangi.

 This treaty was signed of the 6th of February 1840 the first Waitangi day was celebrated on the 6th February 1841.

Then tourist came over to New Zealand and came to the bay of islands where the treaty was signed.

The treaty was singed by over 500 chiefs and the British government.

My Learning smarts

Out of my eight learning smarts the highest three learning smarts in the test that my class took were Linguistic (Word smart) 67% , Naturalistic (Nature smart) 58% and Musical (Music smart) 56% and here are the rest of the smarts from the test.

 

 Word smart means that they work best when they are working with letters and words. The other name for word smart is verbal smart.

Nature smart means that they like working outdoors. Another word for it is Naturalistic smart.

Music smart means that they are able to make and understand music.
